Do stay for tea and coffee: ‘I was going to set up The Mus – a museum of halves.’ - Reform Magazine
Paul Kerensa has half a mind to open a museum
I had an idea about 20 years ago. I’ve never mentioned it to anyone. It was a business plan but I have never and will never capitalise on it. I don’t have a business brain.
I was going to set up ‘The Mus’. It’s a museum, but a museum of halves. Hence, ‘Mus’.
Everything exhibited in my Mus would be bisected, split or generally somehow halved. You’d see a computer or a toaster or a kettle cut clean down the middle, allowing us to ponder their interiors. (I think the Science Museum does similar with various electrical appliances.) There’d be half a car, half a lawnmower and half a milk float, cleaved and displayed like that Damien Hirst bovine artwork…
