Victoria Turner considers Bernard Thorogood and the restructuring of the Council for World Mission
There are big benefits to studying recent history. You can see, very clearly, the present-day consequences of the decisions made in the time that you’re studying. You can connect to the people you are studying much more easily, knowing people from their generation. You can even do interviews, talking to people who knew them (like their lovely son!). Victoria Turner is a lecturer in Mission and Pastoral Studies at Ripon College Cuddesdon. Her talk is on youtube.com/URCUK. For more information about the URC History Society, visit urchistory.wordpress.com
