On the pilgrim way: ‘What I am happy to throw out may fill them with horror’ - Reform Magazine
I am beginning to think about the question of passing items of mine on to the next generations. I have experienced two very different ways of doing so.
In one, a maiden aunt of my husband’s prepared carefully for her death. She listed all her belongings – furniture, kitchen utensils, china, pictures etc., and stated opposite each to whom she wished to leave the object. They had no choice in the matter – but, of course, could dispose of the item after her death…
